An 85-year-old woman was attack an alligator while walking her dog in Fort Pierce, Fla.
Gloria Serge walked her little dog by her pond in Ft. Pierce when the alligator tried to take her dog.
Local media reported that the 10-foot-long alligator first attacked the woman's dog, but went after her when she tried to rescue the pet.
The victim was rescued and a hired alligator catcher captured the alligator involved in the incident.
Neighbors told local media that the alligator came out of the water and pounced on the dog. She tried to get the dog away from the reptile, but somehow fell victim to the alligator.

The woman was rescued and the alligator involved in the incident was captured by a hired nuisance alligator catcher.
After locating the large alligator in the retirement community, six wildlife officers had to force it into the back of a pickup truck.
